We
have received the Urgent Proposal "From
Central Japan to the World" - 2005 Takeoff of Central Japan
- from the Advisory Panel on Future Central Japan!
On April 27, 2005, the MLIT Chubu Regional Development Bureau and
the Chubu Transportation Bureau were given the Urgent Proposal titled "From
Central Japan to the World" - Takeoff Central Japan 2005" for
rapid progress and development of Central Japan from the MLIT Central
Japan Committee of Experts (popular name: Advisory Panel on Future
Central Japan).
The Urgent Proposal, that asks how the substructure of Central Japan
will be provided and how the region will be developed in the future
30 or 50 years with, on the occasion of the 2005 World Exposition,
Aichi Japan, the next 50 years or 100 years in mind, is summarized
as "From Central Japan to the World" - 2005 Takeoff of Central
Japan," and will be presented to people who have gathered from
around the world and throughout Japan during the World Exposition to
obtain their answers to its questions.

In the future, a wide range of opinions of the Proposal will be obtained
through PI activities and the Advisory Panel on Future Central Japan
will advance its deliberations based on these opinions. And in autumn
of this year when the 2005 World Exposition, Aichi Japan will close,
the Final Proposal will be completed. We are looking forward to hearing
